Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Part-Time Dishwasher and Cleaning Staff member to join our team at Indian Fusion Restaurant. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our patrons.

Working Hours:
  • Approximately 15-20 hours per week, with potential for additional hours depending on the restaurant’s needs.
  • Typical working hours are from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, primarily during dinner service.

Requirements

  • No previous experience required; however, prior experience in a commercial kitchen is an advantage.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical requirements of the job including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Dishwashing: Clean all dishes, All kitchen utensils, and cooking equipment with high standards of hygiene.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Assist in the kitchen by keeping the area tidy; includes sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of kitchen waste correctly.
  • Equipment Upkeep: Regularly clean and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure everything operates smoothly and safely.
  • Dining Area Cleanliness: Ensure the dining area is clean and presentable before, during, and after service hours.
  • Waste Management: Efficiently sort and dispose of recycling and garbage, managing compostable and non-compostable materials appropriately.
  • Sanitation Standards: Adhere to local health and safety regulations and the restaurant’s standards in all cleaning and sanitation practices.
  • Restocking Supplies: Assist in restocking essential kitchen and cleaning supplies.
  • Closing Duties: Participate in closing the kitchen, including additional cleaning tasks as assigned to ensure the area is ready for the next business day.
